Never thought i'd have any other reason to be excited about the name of that state other than having no real speed limits! lol This model is quite possibly one of the most beautiful creatures ever assembled by God! If i'm exaggerating it aint by much! Thought I'd showcase and focus more on the facial beauty, rather than jus ass and tits! But don't worry, that will be comin up very soon! hehe...
Trying something new by dabbling with watercolors today. It's something I dreaded in color theory class but I felt I needed to give the medium an honest attempt. I got the idea to paint nude figures from some watercolors Mark McDonnell has been doing from figure drawing sessions. I recently got an uninstructed workshop pass at LAAFA, so I thought it would be a good idea to use one of the workshop days to practice watercolors. So these are some test runs before I start doing watercolors from a live model.
Since they're studies/test runs, I didn't want to be committed to a design so I started flipping through the Art Models Books to find poses to paint. I think it's better that way. When I screw up, I won't be so butt hurt about it and I'll just move on to the next one.
The approach is similar to the one that David Colman uses in his iphone sketchbook app. Didn't exactly stick to the script, but it's a start. So here's to progress, cheers!
I remember this piece being alot of work, and alot of fun! That jacket took me forever it felf! But very satisfying, very satisfying indeed! I wish I had stinceled the background so it wouldn't have blended with her, but leasoned learned I guess! Enjoy Community! I appreciate you all!
Looks like I missed my easter deadline but thats Ok, cause it was my birthday and I had a great time of it. I'll be starting on some other Illustrated work so I'll be in a serious lack of free time to get personal sketches done. At least I finished this before it started.
The Makoto thing didn't go over so well. So I took Chris's advice and went for good ole cheesecake. Belladaire is one of my own original characters. Not that this is an accurate depiction of what she's like, but, it fits in here.
